About
Once upon a time in a land far away (in a small town called Reardan, WA), there lived a husband with a heart full of grease and a wife with a passion for patchwork. He was a wizard with wrenches, restoring old vehicles like a magician pulling rabbits out of hats (or should we say, pulling engines out of vintage cars?). She, on the other hand, could turn a pile of fabric into a cozy quilt faster than you can say “sewing machine!”
Char and Wyatt grew up in Reardan, Washington. After completing high school, they both attended college at Eastern Washington University. Char studied and majored in Technical Communication with minors in Communication and Visual Communication Design. Wyatt studied and majored in Business.
Char & her mom, Inge, owned an APQS longarm quilting machine and quilted with pantographs for a few years, but then Char had her first baby girl in 2020 so she took a break from quilting. Wyatt & Char's second baby girl was born in 2021 and Char would quilt while being surrounded by the chaos of toddlers! In the fall of 2023 Char took over their 2 car garage with a computerized Gammill Statler Optimum.
A little back story from when Char & Wyatt got married in 2018, Char's Aunt Geri opened a quilt shop (called Stitch! Quilt Shop) right up the street from her. How convenient... ;) Char thought she would just stick to longarm quilting store samples for the quilt shop & family & close friends but she saw the opportunity to grow. That is when the idea of "Little Green Truck Quilting" came along.
Some day a blog will come out about "Little Green Truck" but for now, just know it is a very special truck in all of our hearts. And luckily Wyatt has the knowledge to fix it up and allow us to drive it down the road.
We are very excited to share this journey with you all! We love meeting new quilters and hearing the stories behind each and every quilt.
